Please join the Office of Multicultural Student Life, in collaboration with the UTK Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, as we host the 17th Annual Black Issues Conference. The Black Issues Conference is a one-day conference that provides a forum for students, faculty and staff, and community members to discuss issues that impact the African-American community.  This year’s in-person conference, with the theme “Black Health Matters: Moving Beyond Awareness to Action”, will focus on the state of Black healthcare in America. This includes social, mental, public, and all other forms of healthcare advocacy. The conference will feature select breakout presentations and our keynote speaker, Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and NY Times best-selling author & co-author of The Pact, We Beat the Street and The Bond., Dr. Sampson Davis!
