The Kernel Konvo: Film Series offers a variety of thought-provoking films that specifically highlight identity, racial injustice, racial stereotypes in the media, and more. These films will be followed with a hosted dialogue about the significance or impact of the work viewed.
On Monday, September 14th at 5:30 p.m., the Office of Multicultural Student Life is hosting, “Stay Woke: Protesting and Safety”, a documentary and dialogue focused on how to safely protest and assemble. We will view two short documentaries; one on the Black Lives Matter movement, and the other on the Women’s March, including a brief overview of the history of protesting. After the documentaries, there is a question and answer session led by selected members of UTK staff.
