Graduate Research Assistant
Simphany Renee’ (she, her, hers) is a first year master’s student studying Higher Education Administration. She is a Memphis native and recent graduate from the University of Tennessee. Simphany received a Bachelors of Science in Education majoring in Therapeutic Recreation and minoring in Child & Family Studies. Simphany has been heavily involved in multicultural affairs at the university, and was awarded the 2022 Gene Mitchell Gray Pioneer award by the Commission for Blacks.
Her free time consists of hanging out with friends, working out, traveling, and keeping up with the latest makeup trends and tiktok dances. Simphany believes that everyone is capable of far more than they could ever imagine. Her philosophy in life comes from Theodore Roosevelt. “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
