Graduate Research Assistant
Diandra grew up in Columbus, OH, and recently her family relocated to San Antonio, TX. She received a dual degree from the University of Dayton in Exercise Science and Psychology. While at Dayton, Diandra was involved in a variety of organizations, including Housing and Residence Life, where she was a Desk Assistant for two years, and a Desk Supervisor for one year. Her experiences in housing led her to pursue opportunities where she could work with diverse students.
At the University of Tennessee, Diandra is studying Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior, as well as serving as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Office of Multicultural Student Life. In this position, she hopes to work with various student organizations and help develop fun new events in which students can participate. She also aspires to be a resource and outlet that students can utilize while at UTK.
In her free time, Diandra enjoys reading, going to local coffee shops, and hanging out with friends. When she isn’t drowning in school work, she loves shopping – especially at Target. She hopes her time at UTK will give her the experience and opportunities to pursue her passions of working with diverse populations. She is driven by the quote:
“You learn more from failure than success. Don’t let it stop you. Failure builds character.”
