Anthony Prewitt



Anthony is currently co-interim Director for Student Life and Multicultural Affairs and also serves as Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs and Advisor for the National Pan-Hellenic Council Fraternities and Sororities at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is also an instructor in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at UT Martin. He is currently establishing the Multicultural Center at UT Martin. Anthony also serves as UTM’s coordinator for the UT Promise service component and is a member of the CARE Team.

Anthony has over 16 years of experience in Higher Education, having worked in Residence Life, Student Conduct, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Programming, Student Recruitment, and Student Life and Multicultural Affairs. Anthony has a B.A. in History from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a M.A. in Higher Education Administration (PSE) with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Murray State University. He is completing his Ed.D. in P-20 and Community Leadership also at Murray State University. Anthony has worked professionally at St. John’s Community Services where he worked alongside individuals with intellectual disabilities and is committed to ensuring the overall experience for all students is one of learning, growth, and celebrating the unique diversity among us all.

Anthony is a native Tennessean and is looking forward to joining us on Rocky Top! He will start full time on June 13, 2022 as the Director for Multicultural Student Life and the Director of the Frieson Black Cultural Center.
