Freshman Talent Show

University Center Auditorium, 7:00 PM

The annual Freshmen Talent Show, hosted by the Minority Achievement Program (MAP), will take place on October 31, 2012. This event is designed to showcase the talents of first-year students of color and afford them the opportunity to display their talents in front of fellow peers and the general student body. Students will also be able to socially interact with one another in a setting that will encourage self-confidence and peer support.

Homecoming Comedy Show: Featuring Lav Luv, Nema Williams, and Sean Larkins

U.S. Cellular Stage at The Bijou Theater, 7:30 PM (Doors open at 7:00 PM)

The UT Black Cultural Programming Committee and Office of Multicultural Student Life will host the Homecoming Comedy Show featuring Lav Luv, Nema Williams, & Sean Larkins on November 2, 2012. All comedians are Kings of Comedy in their own right and have appeared on BET’s Comic View. This event will provide a great source of comedic entertainment for the UT student body, alumni, and Knoxville community. Please join us for a night of laughter!

Tickets: $10 now until November 2nd for UT students; $15 now until November 2nd for general public. Dr. Jane S. Redmond served the University of Tennessee for almost 30 years in the roles of Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Director of Minority Student Affairs, and Director of the Women’s Center. Join us as Dr. Redmond is inducted into the University of Tennessee’s African-American Hall of Fame and consider honoring her service by making a contribution to the Dr. Jane S. Redmond Scholarship Fund to benefit students at UTK!

The 13th Annual Southeastern Stomp Fest is a signature UT Homecoming event. This event, hosted by The UT Black Cultural Committee and Office of Multicultural Student Life, is an opportunity for the UT student body, alumni, and Knoxville community to enjoy high energy stepping performances by NPHC Fraternities and Sororities. Multi-talented artist and rising star, SpokenReasons, will host the 2012 Stomp Fest. This is an event you do not want to miss!
