Jheri Wills

Biography

Jheri is a native of Kankakee, IL. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. During her undergraduate experience, Jheri developed a strong passion for supporting college students, especially those from underrepresented populations. This passion ultimately led her to pursue a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel.

Jheri serves as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Office of Multicultural Student Life. She is most excited about working with student organizations and fulfilling the mission of MSL. As a Midwesterner, Jheri is eager to learn the ways of the South especially here at Rocky Top! GO VOLS!

Some of Jheri’s hobbies include shopping, sight-seeing, and trying vegan recipes. She also loves spending time with friends and family. Jheri challenges herself to live courageously everyday based on the words of Audre Lorde: “When I dare to be powerful – to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”
